Recently we were involved in a geotechnical investigation for a proposed electrical substation located southwest of the Dominican Republic. Our crew performed 15 m deep HQ borings in alluvial soils. Drilling activities in this type of geology is a constant challenge for the drilling crew as it requires a qualified crew for both the sampling and the drill rig care.
